Nigerian sprinter Tobi Amusan has once again recorded her name in gold by winning the women’s 100mH at the 2022 ISTAF World Continental Tour Silver meeting on Sunday, 4 September.

It was another feather added to the wings of the Nigerian star who has been making the West African nation proud so far this year.

Tobi Amusan started by winning gold at the World Athletics Championship in Oregon, and she repeated heroic performance at the 2022 Commonwealth games in the United Kingdom.

According to the reports on Punch and Sun, Amusan in Berlin got the tape at 12.45s (-0.3) ahead of Tia Jones, 2nd in 12.58s while Megan Tapper finished 3rd in 12.66s.

The Nigerian has however been getting encomium from many fans due to her recent win in the Berlin game.

Nigerian Athlete Who Won Gold at the Recently Held Commonwealth Games Suspended for Doping

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Nigerian athlete Grace Nwokocha was provisionally suspended for allegedly using a banned substance, according to the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU).

The 21-year-old was part of the Nigerian quartet that won the Women’s 4x100m at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham last month.

Nwokocha ran the anchor leg in the race with Tobi Amusan, Favour Ofili, and Rose Chukwuma.

They had set a new African Record following their 42.10s time as they claimed Nigeria’s 11th gold medal at the Games in a historical fashion.

Nwokocha, who is a multiple-time national champion in Women’s 100m, has a personal best time of 10.97s which she set at the World Championships in Eugene, Oregon, USA. She also ran a personal best of 22.44s in the 200m.
