Nigerian athlete proposes to athlete girlfriend, gets stunning response as photos go viral

An athlete from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria has won the hearts of many after spotted just proposing to his athlete girlfriend at the handball court at the ongoing NUGA games in Lagos.

The 26th edition of the Nigerian University Games Association (NUGA) Games begun on Saturday, 19 March, and 76 universities nationwide are currently featuring in a total of 21 sporting events.

At the handball court of the University of Lagos, the ABU male athlete proposed to his girlfriend who is also an athlete and she accepted the proposal.

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) are currently occupying 8th position on the medal's table with 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze so far.

University of Port Harcourt are leading the medal's table with 14 golds, 5 silvers and 9 bronze and have total of 28 medals.

Sports Brief also reported how Super Eagles coach, Augustine Eguavoen is presently sweating over the availability of Leicester City winger, Ademola Lookman for Nigeria's World Cup play-off against Ghana.

The 24-year-old winger is currently battling with illness and might not be fully fit to partake in the crucial game that will determine one of Africa's five representatives at the 2022 World Cup.

According to Complete Sports, Lookman was absent as Leicester City coasted to a 2-1 home win against Brentford on Sunday, March 20.

The Leicester City attacker who was only just cleared by FIFA to represent Nigeria may now have to wait to make his debut for the Super Eagles.
