Leeds and Arsenal fans outraged

Power plays an important role in the sport, and it would be imprudent to continue with the game without technology.

On social media, Arsenal and Leeds's fans have expressed anger about the power cut.

Others fans took the moment to crack some jokes.

"Have you tried unplugging and plugging it back again?"

Another fan was not happy with the power outage

What a shambles. What an absolute shambles after Leeds vs Arsenal here at Elland Road has been suspended due to a power cut.

One fan took the opportunity to slam VAR use against the Gunners.

Arsenal game is being postponed because of no VAR? There didn't seem to be a problem with no VAR when they played against Liverpool.

Another fan took issue with music superstar Drake making a bet on Arsenal, saying the famous 'Drake curse' is back.

"Drake put Arsenal on his bet slip, and the games about to be called off. This guy can’t be real."

One analyst criticized the overreliance on technology in the game nowadays.

Are we so dependent on technology now that Leeds/Arsenal can’t be played? They’ve gone off because the ref has no contact with match centre. 40,000 are sat waiting for something to happen. This isn’t right. Just get on with it.

Another fan aimed a jibe at Leeds.

"In fairness to Leeds that town was only introduced to electricity in 2015."

One fan felt that temporarily suspending the match was a conspiracy theory.

I have a conspiracy theory. The Premier League set this up, so Leeds vs Arsenal can be on when Liverpool vs Man City kicks off.

Another aimed a dig at Aubameyang.

"We should’ve kept Aubameyang, he’d have arrived on time for this match."

The teams left the pitch after 11 and headed back for the dressing rooms.

Arsenal tipped to win the Premier Leaguer

Sports Brief earlier reported on Chelsea legend Joe Cole backing Arsenal to win the league this season.

Joe Cole said that Mikel Arteta has slowly built a resilient and confident Arsenal team that he feels can go and win the league.

Cole said the youngsters in the Gunners team fit seamlessly into the manager's plan.
